The Media and Public Affairs Section (MPAS) is responsible for presenting and promoting Britain and British Government policy in Nigeria. MPAS liases with the British Council and the Department for International Development (DFID) to ensure a co-ordinated effort across the country. The Head of MPAS is the official spokesperson for the High Commission.
MPAS provides a wide range of services, including reference information on all aspects of Britain; publications covering British Government policy as well as television and video services. It is also the base for the ukinnigeria.com website.
MPAS co-ordinates all media operations for the UK Government including press conferences and interviews by visiting Government Ministers. It is also responsible for public diplomacy events. MPAS is based in the High Commission in Abuja.
